Many small businesses can’t afford to have a graphic designer on staff, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some graphic design resources to use in your digital marketing efforts!
Fortunately, there are several free websites out there geared to help you come up with some quality graphic design for your blog or social media sites.
Free Graphic Design Resources
1. Canva
It’s really easy to get set up and use. Just login to their site using your Facebook login and instantly get to work on a new design following their easy-to-navigate design options.
They give you a nice baseline design to work from, or you can get busy and start adjusting as many elements of the design as you want from colors to clip art and images.
The site also has templates for various purposes from social media sites like Twitter, Google +, Pinterest and Facebook or for other design purposes such as a blog, kindle eBook cover, real-estate flyer and more.
2. Piktochart
Piktochart now has a paid offering, you can sign in for free and start designing some pretty amazing looking infographics. They’ve made it easy for users to differentiate the free templates from the paid by including a “PRO” banner overlay on the ones that you have to pay for.
If you have information to share or a story to tell, Piktochart is a great place to start making eye-catching and beautiful infographics without graphic design experience.
3. Stock Xchng
Every marketer needs a library of stock photos. Sadly, most of the stock image websites out there charge a fortune to purchase subscriptions or one-time credits.
Stock Xchng offers a vast library of free or creative commons stock images that you can use in your work. Stock Xchng was purchased by iStockPhoto.com and now include some paid images that appear above the freebies.
